In keeping with the fraternity’s highest ideals and traditions, Theta Iota is committed the fraternity’s cardinal principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift.  We reinforce these ideals through activities that will uplift our community. On this website, you will see examples of our social action efforts, designed to have a positive impact on our community and beyond. Some of the activities under the umbrella of social action include the annual Teen Summit, voter registration drives, nursing home visits, scholarship donations, Charles R. Drew blood drive, Christmas basket delivery, health education, and Ques for shoes, which sent hundreds of shoes to Africa.  The Enlightened Male program is an award winning mentoring and educational program for African-American boys ages 10-17.
